A » Generally, the ratio for school-age children is 1:15. On occasion, depending on the activity, the ratio may increase to 1:20. Our ratio for kindergarten children is 1:10.
A » We have kindergarten programs at the following sites: Hawthorn, Libertyville and Lake Villa.
A » Typically, we are located in the gymnasium, cafeteria and multi-purpose rooms. Locations vary with each site.
A » The staff is made up of recreational and educational degrees. The staff consists of college students, parents, and other recreational professionals. All staff is trained in CPR and First Aid as well as continued 15 inservice hours per year. Afterschool Club requires a background check on all employees.
A » Parents are able to purchase an after school snack from Afterschool Club if they choose not to bring one from home. On full days off from school, children will need to bring two snacks (or purchase) and a lunch from home.
Kindergarten children will need to bring (or purchase) a snack and a lunch from home.
A » Afterschool Club requires a $40 non-refundable registration fee and a $50 deposit fee applied toward your last week’s tuition for each school-year program enrolled.
A » You need to register every year for the school-year program and the summer program.
A » A two-day minimum is required for the school-year program and the summer program.
A » The registrant is responsible for the cost regardless of whether or not the child attends. The registrant is responsible for payment of all days and weeks indicated on the registration form or subsequently added.
A » If your school district is closed, then Afterschool Club is closed.
A » A minimum of one week’s advanced notice in writing is required to change a child’s permanent schedule or withdraw a child from the program during the school year. Withdrawal from the program or deleting days/weeks in the summer is not allowed after the deadline.
